Safety, Pseudonymity & Zero-Tolerance Moderation
Silent Rooms is built as a sanctuary. That means privacy is not an afterthought or toggle—it is built into every API endpoint, database schema, and interface interaction.
The Four Safety Tenets of Silent Rooms
1. Absolute Pseudonymity
You never use your real name, personal social handles, or physical profile pictures. All members use randomized aliases and privacy avatars. Real identity links do not exist in room chats.
2. Locked Sanctuary Rooms
Creators can seal rooms behind private invitation codes (e.g. SR-XXXXXX) or passcodes. Only people who possess the code can view or participate in confessions.
3. Zero-Tolerance Toxicity Shield
Automated text screening filters out cyberbullying, hate speech, doxxing, and harassment before it reaches other members. One-click reporting alerts moderators immediately.
4. Bank-Grade Encryption & Deletion
Data in flight is guarded by TLS 1.3 encryption, and data at rest is isolated with AES-256 standards. You can delete your confessions or entire account anytime with complete irreversibility.
